ESCADA - Born in Paradise EDT - Review

I have lusted after this perfume for weeks and weeks now - finally I treated myself to it last week while I was out shopping. I had gotten into the habit of spraying myself liberally with it each time I saw it in Debenhams. The scent is AMAZING! This is actually the scent of summer. All the Escada perfumes actually are so beautifully light and fresh and fruity, perfect for summer, but Born in Paradise is really something else!

Even the bottle looks summery. I love the colour of it and the bird on the reverse of the bottle. As you can probably tell from the packaging, this perfume is full on fruity - watermelon, apple, coconut and pineapple. I cannot even express how delightful this smells, it just smells like the most wonderful refreshing cocktail you could ever imagine.

I got these lovely flip flops as a free gift also when I bought the perfume. Now don't you think I am all set for summer? My only complaint is that this perfume only comes in eau de toilette, and as such the smell fades rather quickly.

Definitely check this perfume out if you can! It is, without a doubt, the most beautiful and tropical fragrance I have tried in recent times.

Sadly I am back to work today after the Easter holidays but with a couple of sprays of this, I could easily be on a beach somewhere sipping a Pina Colada!

Lancome Bi-Facil Eye Make Up Remover

I was absolutely delighted to get my hands on this lovely product! You might remember this came as part of a free gift that I got in Debenhams. I really needed an eye make up remover so it was great to get this one!

You can see that it has two layers, an oil layer and a water layer. You have to turn the bottle upside down to mix them together before using it. When you shake the bottle, it looks really foamy but it doesn't come out like this. It looks really cool in the bottle!

I just put a small amount on a cotton pad. It has a lovely scent, I can definitely smell rose in it, it reminds me of Turkish Delight! One good swipe with a cotton pad and your entire eye make up is removed. I am serious! Previously I had been using Garnier eye make up remover which I liked, but you can tell the difference with this one, being a high end brand. It is far more effective and I can assure you, you only need to use one little squirt per eye to remove all of your eye make up. It is fab, and hopefully this bottle will last me a long time! I am not sure if I will be able to afford this eye make up remover, but I promise you, it would be worth every penny as it is so good!

Lancome Haul! Sneak Peek

I got a sample of the Teint Idole foundation last week, and I really liked it. As you know, I love budget beauty products and I don't often have the money to buy high end products. But I loved the look of this foundation so much, I thought it would be worth the splurge. I also really wanted to try Lancome Hypnose mascara. Debenhams currently have an offer in which if you buy any two Lancome products, you get an amazing free gift consisting of seven items. So... I went for it!

Here is my beloved Teint Idole foundation. I chose the shade 03, a little darker for me but I thought it would be perfect for the summer season as I will be wearing fake tan, I don't want a pale face! I adore this so much.
Each of the Lancome Hypnose mascaras cost £22.00, but I chose Hypnose Star as it came in this little set, with a free miniature Bi-Facil eye make up remover and Le Crayon Khol Noir.

This mascara is just stunning! I love the packing, the glittery tube just looks so glam!

This is the amazing free gift! You get a full sized Bi-Facil, Hydra Zen (15ml), Visionnaire and Genifique (both 5ml), a baby Hypnose mascara, a small Juicy Tube and a cute perfume sample!

I cannot wait to try out all of these products, and I promise more thorough reviews will be coming soon! I don't usually spend this much money and I have never tried Lancome before, but I think the free gift is so generous and it gives me a chance to test high-end products that I would never usually be able to afford! And of course if I do like them and they do work for me, I probably would spend that little bit extra.

Have a great weekend everyone!
