A little colour boost! Revlon Nutri Color Creme

I get my hair done every 6 weeks, and because it is such a vibrant colour, it fades fast. In between colours I use this Revlon Nutri Color Creme in the shade 740 (Copper) to give me a little boost!

I have such long hair that I do need quite a large amount, I can't even count how many pumps I use! But basically I just shampoo my hair as normal (with Mane n' Tail Colour Protect) then I will massage this cream all over my hair, from roots to ends. I wrap my hair up in a towel and leave it for at least 15 -20 minutes. On the bottle it says you can rinse it off after 3 minutes, but I feel like I need to keep it on for longer to see any visible results with the colour.

Don't forget to wear gloves!

 Before
After

After I use this colour creme, not only is the colour visibly more vibrant but my hair has never felt better. It is so soft and smooth, it feels wonderful!

Naturally there are different tones in my hair left over from a dip dye/ombre which I had in last year, so you can still see the lighter parts of my hair. But overall the colour has really brightened up and will keep me going until my next trip to the salon!

I order my Revlon Nutri Color Creme from this seller on Amazon, they have other shades too!

Revlon Hollywood Lighted Make up Mirror

This was a little gift I bought for myself over the Christmas holidays, and honestly it is one of my best buys ever! The mirror at my dressing table is a little too far away when you are doing your make up, particularly your eye make up. I really fancied a small, cosmetic mirror and even better one with lights, as the lighting isn't great in my room! My search quickly led me to the Revlon Hollywood Lighted make up mirror, which I got in Argos for £19.99.

I thought that it may have the option for battery power, but it is mains powered only, which is a little disappointing but I can live with that. I would be wary of travelling with this mirror anyway incase the bulbs smashed in transit.

You can swivel the mirror too if you need it a little more magnified!

There are 2 little secret compartments (one containing a spare bulb) which is very handy dandy if you wanted to store hair grips or cotton buds in there!

Best of all it folds down flat and fits perfectly in my dressing table drawer.

If you need a cosmetic mirror which doesn't take up too much space and if you struggle with poor lighting this is a great mirror, I am so delighted that I bought this and it is exactly what I need!

Recent Purchases! Featuring Yankee Candle & Revlon!

So my plan of not spending money on random stuff and saving up for my holidays isn't exactly going as planned! One little relapse is ok, right?

So on one of my usual trips to the Yankee Candle shop for a browse, I bought this small jar of "Paradise Spice" and a sampler of "Margarita Time"! I thought they were so lovely and fresh, they are the most summery Yankee Candles ever! After buying them I had £10.00 off on my reward card so I decided to get a big jar. The new Yankee Candle summer scents are amazing, but in the end I went for "Citrus Tango" - I love citrusy scents and this one is divine! I am trying to burn them one at a time, so as you can see Paradise Spice has been my first choice. It smells like pineapples!

So… you know Boots have 3 for 2 at the moment and I really wanted to try some Revlon stuff. I have heard so much about Revlon but I honestly have never tried anything from the brand, apart from a foundation. I know I really wanted a Lip Butter and I chose the shade Juicy Papaya! It is a great coral shade for summer. I also really wanted to try one of the Electric Chrome nail polishes, inspired by the new Amazing Spider-man 2 film. I chose Super-Powered, a gorgeous metallic blue. I love this shade, and I love the cute bottle with the spiderweb detail on the lid.
So of course I needed to pick a third item! And that item was one of the new scented nail polishes. The only colour I really wanted was this nice hot pink colour. This one is called African Tea Rose, and after trying this one I can safely say I do not like the scent! It is a bit overpowering at times and is a very strong, smells like a horrible perfume. The colour is nice though!

So, a slight relapse but hopefully I shall regain some self control and not buy anything else for a few weeks!

Revlon Nearly Naked Foundation

I was dying to try this foundation since i heard it was a good dupe for YSL Touche Eclait Foundation, which I have never tried. I got it in Boots today for £8.99 in the shade Nude.

The consistency is quite thin, and a lot lighter than what I normally wear, but I have to say that I absolutely love this foundation!

This is with no foundation on..

And this is with the foundation on..

I can't really describe how this foundation looks, it gave me a really glowy, healthy look! I am so impressed with it! I love how it makes my skin look.

The only thing I do not like is how it is in a glass bottle! It's always difficult when the bottle is nearly done getting the last few applications out! For £8.99 you can't really complain. I will definitely be re-purchasing this!
