Isadora Sugar Crush Nails - the nicest nail polishes ever! :)

I got my first Sugar Crush - "Coral Crush" last summer, and wore it almost constantly. Now I feel the Spring coming, I resurrected my summer favourite and while on a recent trip to Debenhams I decided to pick up 2 more.

This is Ocean Crush, a lovely turquoise blue with gold shimmer. This shade actually reminds me of the ocean! It is the most unusual and beautiful colour, and I think it looks incredible on.

This is Candy Crush! I think this one is my new favourite! I don't usually wear pinks but I thought this looked divine. It is the cutest, girliest shade of pink. This one actually has chunkier glitter particles too. It looks absolutely flawless on your nails, and it seems to have the best wear time out of these three polishes.

And here is my first love, Coral Crush! Beautiful orange with gold glitter. For me, when I first saw this last year, it just looked so different and unlike any polish I had ever seen. I adored this polish last year, and sadly I am almost finished my bottle. I will definitely repurchase if these are still available. This shade just epitomises summer for me.

I do not usually like "textured" nail polishes and at first I didn't like how they felt gritty on my nails, but nevertheless, the shades are so breathtaking and striking that I do not mind the texture. And for such glittery polishes, they are incredibly easy to remove which makes them a winner for me! I hate the struggle of removing glitter polishes!

So to sum up why do I love these polishes - amazing unusual colours, excellent wear time and easy to remove. What more could you want in a polish!

I love IsaDora!

I first discovered IsaDora cosmetics about a year and a half ago, when a small stand appeared in my nearest Debenhams. I am not a big bronzer fan but having never came across a shade selection like this coupled with the generous sized compact, I could not resist it. The bronzer cost I think £25.00 and I really do love it. It just adds the nicest glow without being orange. There is an incredibly subtle shimmer in it, but you won't be running around like a glitterball. As you can see also, I have barely made a dent in this thing!

So, while on the lookout for a nice, everyday foundation I thought I would give IsaDora another go. This is their latest offering, Wake Up Make Up. I chose the shade Sand, which is the second lightest. It's a little too light for me at the moment, because I am wearing fake tan! But generally I save this one for those dreary mornings when I am heading out to work and I need something to make me look a little more alive! 

I am not really a fan of "glowy" foundations, and thankfully this isn't really one, but it does have skin brightening properties. It is incredibly lightweight and creamy, and it gives the most smoothest finish. Coverage is decent although luckily my skin has really been behaving itself lately and I don't really have any blemishes to hide. I got this for £16.00 which is apparently an introductory offer. I am not sure of the RRP.

So...during one of my regular visits to Debenhams this weekend I once again wandered past the IsaDora stand. Thanks to the wonderful sales lady there I ended up with this gorgeous little purse with three nail polishes in here!

 I am a massive fan of IsaDora Sugar Crush, which I wore basically every day over summer. I have not tried any other polishes from this brand but I am majorly impressed with these three! Gold Sparkles is the most beautiful shade ever. I have never tried crackle polishes before so of course I had to give it a go to try and recreate the leopard print look!

I just did my ring fingers as an accent nail alongside Barry M Grapefruit, I think it looks really well!


So, with my small collection of IsDora cosmetics, I have to say I think they are an incredible brand and are reasonably priced too. The only thing is that I cannot seem to find anywhere that sells IsaDora online, and I know that they do not feature in every Debenhams. If you are lucky enough to have an IsaDora stand near you, I highly recommend you check them out, I guarantee you won't be disappointed!

July Favourites!

When I was making a list of things I had been using throughout the month of July, there really wasn't that many products I had been using. The weather was so good, and sometimes hot weather and make up just don't go! So... here is what I have been using in July!

Clarins Splendours Palette - Oh, how I adore this palette! The shades in here are absolutely perfect for summer. The eyeshadows have excellent staying power too. I swear I have been wearing these shadows every day since I got this palette. I couldn't recommend this enough.

Lancome Blush Subtil Palette - This is in the shade Nectar Lace. I have this palette for a few months now I think but it is only recently I started getting the use out of it. I am slowly but surely getting used to contouring! And the contour shade here is perfect. The blush is absolutely stunning, it is a deep coral with gold shimmer. I have been enjoying this so much!

Lancome Hypnose Star Mascara - Oh my goodness, honestly this is the best mascara ever! I do not think I could live without it now! (well not literally). The wand is excellent, it is very tapered at the end and it perfect for getting into the corners of your lashes. The formula too is amazing, it doesn't clump or flake off during the day. It is just perfect and so long wearing. I absolutely adore it and the packaging is so glam too!

Clarins Instant Smooth Crystal Lip Gel - I have completely fallen in love with this! It is so nice to wear, not as heavy as a gloss. It smells super sweet and gives your lips that perfect sheen. The colour itself gives you a lovely rosey tint. I think this is a fabulous product, and I will be doing a more detailed review very soon because I love it so much!

Palmer's Cocoa Butter Body Scrub - My skin was not in great condition there for a while during the good weather. Layers upon layers of fake tan had really taken it's toll on my skin. So it was off to Superdrug I went to get a few items to remedy that! One of the things I got was this scrub. I would never usually bother with scrubs, but this one was on offer in Superdrug for £3.00. All I can say is "WOW"! First of all, the smell is just...divine. While I wasn't really impressed with the scrubs power to remove fake tan (it doesn't really), I can definitely notice a massive improvement in my skin. My skin has actually never been in better condition, and I believe it is down to this lovely scrub.

MAC Prep & Prime Protection SPF 50 - It's back again! I know I had this product in my June favourites, but I had to give it another mention. I was so so grateful to have this product during the heatwave, knowing that you had that SPF 50 protection on your face. I believe this is so important. I have actually used up this whole tube now, I need to purchase another!

IsaDora Sugar Crush Nail Polish - I love this polish in the shade Coral Crush. I have been wearing this almost every single day. I have never used up a whole nail polish but I am heading that way with this one! Orange polishes are a current obsession with mine. It took me a while to get used to the texture of this polish, now I think nothing of it. It is so nice and sparkly too, without the pain of removing glitter polish! Adore this so much.

Kerastase Bain Exfoliant Purifiant Shampoo - I have to tell everyone about this shampoo and how it has "changed my life". That is kind of an exaggeration. However, this is an anti-dandruff shampoo with exfoliating beads in it. My scalp is just horrendous, when I have dandruff, it is bad and I mean really bad. This shampoo is the only thing that works. I've tried everything in the chemists to the doctor's prescriptions but this is the only thing that clears my dandruff and actually keeps it away. If I wash my hair with another shampoo even just once, the dandruff comes straight back! So this is I think my 5th bottle of Kerastase that I have re-purhased. I honestly will never be without this shampoo!!



I hope you all liked this post! I honestly cannot believe we are into August already...it's coming to the end of summer and I am not sure I am ready to say goodbye yet! The weather has been incredible (okay, not right now but we had a very good run!). I have had a brilliant summer so far. I took some time off work which I really enjoyed and I got to see Michael Bublé in concert twice, which was incredible.

IsaDora Sugar Crush Nail Polish - Coral Crush

 These polishes have been absolutely raved about since their release, anyone who reviewed them on their blogs I was admiring them, but I was kind of put off by the idea that they felt quite gritty once they were on your nails, and I dislike polishes like that.

But - when I was in Debenhams and saw them in "real life", they actually took my breath away! Especially this coral shade, as I am mad about coral everything at the moment.

Anyway, they cost £7.99 and in the pictures below I have on two coats. Actually the gritty texture doesn't annoy me that much, it is not as bad as Sally Hensen Gem Crush for instance.

This polish is just the most fabulous orange colour, with gold shimmer. I cannot tell you how much I love it. Now I know why everyone was raving about these polishes! I want more!

Current Favourites! / Early June Favourites!

I hope everyone is enjoying the nice weather! I know I am, it's great to see it and here's hoping it will last a long time!

Recently, I have been reaching for these products a lot - I thought I would show them to you - lately I have decided that I cannot live without these products! (Well, not literally!)

Lancôme Teint Idole Foundation (shade 3) - I have been loving this foundation recently. I got a little sample of it in Debenhams and I couldn't belive how good it looked on, so I went straight out and got the full sized bottle. It is completely matte, and it has been staying on all day even though it is a fairly light foundation. I am so impressed with this!

Cocoa Brown 1 Hour Tan - What else can I say about this, apart from it is the best tan in the world! I used to never wear fake tan and now I think I am addicted to it! What I like most is that it is the most natural coloured fake tan I have ever seen, and it wears off quite well too, unlike other tans I have tried which wear off in patches! This one is perfect and is oh so easy to apply. I now love wearing tan every day, I think it makes me look a lot healthier or something!

Lancôme Bi-Facil Eye Make Up Remover - This is genuinely the best eye make up remover I have ever used. It removes every little trace of make up with just one swipe of a cotton pad. Amazing. I got this as a free gift but I will definitely be buying the full sized version. I know it is a little expensive but it really is that good! I've been using this every day for the last month or so and there is still a good amount left in the bottle.

MAC Prep & Prime Protection SPF 50 - I bought this primer mainly for the SPF 50 but I have really noticed a difference in the longevity of my makeup too especially at the end of a long, hot day. I don't really use primers but now I feel like I couldn't be without this one! I love the added high protection too. If this good weather holds out I would highly suggest investing in this! It is quite moisturiser-like and easy to apply.

Angelica Nail Polish (shade "Hip Hop") - I have been wearing this nail polish almost every day since the summer began! It is so bright, actually it is a neon colour! It is the finest coral shade I have ever used (and I have used a lot!). The formula is quite thin, almost gel like. It lasts me about a week too. It is probably the best nail polish I have ever used,and it was so cheap too! I'll be using this all summer!

IsaDora Bronzing Powder (shade Light Tan) - I bought this last year, but never really used it. I saw it in Debenhams and fell in love with the beautiful packaging, the huge compact and nice mirror. The product is of course amazing, but it is not until now that I have been wearing fake tan that I have really got the use out of it. I am not really into bronzers, but I have never seen one like this before! It is the most gorgeous tan colour, a tiny subtle hint of shimmer, that I use all over my face every day now. If I am having a good skin day, I actually just wear this alone instead of foundation. I will definitely be re-purchasing this, and I cannot recommend this bronzer enough! It is such good value too for the amount of product you get!

MUA Power Pout (Justify) - I absolutely love this lip crayon. It is so smooth and moisturising, there is also a slight peppermint hint from it which feels really refreshing on your lips. I find that even after the actual balm has worn off, I am left with a hint of colour which is nice. But I have been generously applying this every single day, it is nearly all gone now! Luckily at £3.00 a go, this is one I will be buying lots more of!

Isadora Bronzer - Golden Tan

I am not really into bronzers all that much, and in actual fact this is the first bronzer I have ever bought! But I saw this in Debenhams last year and I loved the huge compact and with a massive 35g of product, I thought this was a good buy. If I can remember correctly, it cost £25.00. I chose the lightest shade which is Golden Tan, it was the best match for me. I didn't actually know you could get a bronzer so pale! If you look closely there is a tiny amount of shimmer. I love it! When I wear it, it makes me look like I have a really healthy glow. What I like about this range of bronzers is that they are all natural tones and stay away from orangey hues. It's perfect!
