Christmas Nails featuring Barry M & Max Factor!

I bought these 2 nail polishes while browsing in Superdrug one day… Actually I had been wanting to try the Max Factor Gel Shine Lacquers for a while, and I fell in love with this shade "Radiant Ruby". It's just a gorgeous, deep red. The gloss and finish of this polish is stunning. But I had to add a little bit of glitter! I could not resist the Barry M Nail Paint "Jingle Bells". This will definitely be my go-to nail polish this Christmas! It looks fantastic layered over Radiant Ruby!

It is a mix of little glitter strands, red flakes and gold glitter. But here and there are little holographic stars which are so cute and very festive!

Already I am planning to wear this nail polish combo on Christmas day!

Wet n' Wild Megalast Nail Polish - "Under Your Spell"

I stumbled upon a Wet n' Wild stand, after hearing so much about the brand it was quite exciting! I picked up just a few things, an eyeliner, lip balm and 2 nail polishes. The first of which being this one -  the Megalast nail polish "Under Your Spell".

What attracted me to it was that I do not have anything like this already! It's like a blackened cranberry shade. I love the sheen of it! It's so glossy too.

Wear time was very good for me, I have it on me now since Saturday and it shows just the usual wear around the tips, no chipping despite me being at work. The wear time seems to be a lot better than some of the expensive polishes I own!

If you have any other Wet n' Wild recommendations for me, please let me know! I'm dying to try out more of their things!

OPI My Address is Hollywood -Nail Polish

How cute is this nail polish? I got this one recently from Amazon and I love it. It's not too "in your face" - it's a lovely shade of pink with a very subtle shimmer.

As always with OPI polishes I was able to apply this one like a dream. I used 3 thin coats in the photos.  I can get a good 4 or 5 days out of this polish, which is absolutely amazing for me!

I am not really into pink nail polishes so much, but I am quite fond of this because the colour is a little bit more "grown up" and not a Barbie pink colour. Also, I really love the name! It makes me feel so glamorous!

I tried (and failed) to capture the shimmer of this polish, it is quite subtle but you will see a soft golden shimmer throughout the polish.

Lancome Vernis in Love - "Nuit d'Azur" Nail polish

Lancome released some new nail polishes for Summer 2014 and this one absolutely stole my heart! I had to have it. Such a beautiful blue creme polish, the best kind!
I have to say that Lancome nail polishes are probably one of the best in terms of packaging and the brush is perfect for application. The nail polish formula was just a dream to apply (I used 2 coats) . It was the perfect consistency too!

It is such a beautiful, rich colour for Summer. I would never have thought of wearing a blue nail polish, but I have never seen a blue shade quite like this. My only problem with it is that it started chipping incredibly quickly! I would have expected a longer wear time from such an expensive nail polish.

I paired it up with another Lancome polish from their Summer collection, the beautiful "Golden Riviera". The blue and gold look amazing together! Apologies for the bad photo, it was taken on my phone.

So although Summer seems to be leaving us rather prematurely, I really am enjoying these Summery nail polishes! And I do think the beautiful blue "Nuit d'Azure" will look amazing in Winter too!

Isadora Sugar Crush Nails - the nicest nail polishes ever! :)

I got my first Sugar Crush - "Coral Crush" last summer, and wore it almost constantly. Now I feel the Spring coming, I resurrected my summer favourite and while on a recent trip to Debenhams I decided to pick up 2 more.

This is Ocean Crush, a lovely turquoise blue with gold shimmer. This shade actually reminds me of the ocean! It is the most unusual and beautiful colour, and I think it looks incredible on.

This is Candy Crush! I think this one is my new favourite! I don't usually wear pinks but I thought this looked divine. It is the cutest, girliest shade of pink. This one actually has chunkier glitter particles too. It looks absolutely flawless on your nails, and it seems to have the best wear time out of these three polishes.

And here is my first love, Coral Crush! Beautiful orange with gold glitter. For me, when I first saw this last year, it just looked so different and unlike any polish I had ever seen. I adored this polish last year, and sadly I am almost finished my bottle. I will definitely repurchase if these are still available. This shade just epitomises summer for me.

I do not usually like "textured" nail polishes and at first I didn't like how they felt gritty on my nails, but nevertheless, the shades are so breathtaking and striking that I do not mind the texture. And for such glittery polishes, they are incredibly easy to remove which makes them a winner for me! I hate the struggle of removing glitter polishes!

So to sum up why do I love these polishes - amazing unusual colours, excellent wear time and easy to remove. What more could you want in a polish!

NOTD : OPI Call Me Gwen-Ever

This polish is from the Amazing Spider-Man collection, I spotted it while browsing on Amazon one night and I couldn't resist.
I have had this nail polish in my collection for a few months now. I love anything orange and the colour of this polish did not disappoint me. Yes it is orange but there is almost a peach tone to it. What I mean to say is that it is not a harsh orange shade.
This is a lovely creme shade and it quite nice to apply, but you have got to be careful because it can look streaky. I used 3 light coats here. I got a good 3 days wear out of this before it started to chip like crazy :( stupid work! Ruins my nails!

Clinique Party Tips - Nail Polish Trio Gift Set

I received this lovely box as a Christmas present. I have never used Clinique polishes before but even the presentation and the packaging of this box is just very fancy!

Inside the box is this cute little bag, with the three nail polishes inside. The nail polishes are petite 5ml bottles, they are absolutely adorable and the shades are second to none.

L-R - Black Honey, Strappy Sandals, Polished Amethyst

This is Black Honey. I absolutely adore this colour.... it is the most beautiful, deep, aubergine colour. Application is just like a dream. The polish is a cream texture and feels so smooth on your nails. I have used three light coats here. I haven't worn dark nail polishes for years and years. This one has really taken me by surprise and I love it. I think this is my favourite colour of the trio!

And here is Polished Amethyst with Strappy Sandals as an accent nail. Polished Amethyst is the most beautiful, fuchsia pink nail polish ever. It is almost iridescent. It's not really shimmery, but it has a glossy kind of metallic sheen. That is probably the worst description ever! But I really do love this colour. It was a dream to apply too, it is almost a one-coater but I applied two coats to give the colour a bit of extra depth.

Strappy Sandals is an incredibly shimmery, metallic silver. This one would have a frost finish. It could apply in quite a streaky fashion if you aren't careful. The consistency of the polish is very lightweight and a bit runnier compared to the others. Again I used two coats here. This polish is the most long-wearing of the trio!

I am very impressed with Clinique polishes. Apparently they are designed for sensitive skin. I can't vouch for this as I don't have sensitive skin and can wear anything on my nails. But colour wise, and texture wise, they are absolutely brilliant! As for wear, I got a good three or four days out of them before they started chipping. These colours are absolutely gorgeous, especially for this time of year. The standout in this collection for me is Black Honey.

What do you think of these nail polishes?

OPI "The Amazing Spider-Man" Mini Collection

I had no idea OPI had a Spider-Man collection until I was browsing Amazon one night. I am quite a big fan of the Spiderman films, of course I could not resist these pretty polishes!

L-R: Into the Night, Number One Nemesis, Just Spotted the Lizard, Your Web or Mine

So the only one I have tried so far is "Just Spotted the Lizard", which is a greeney blue gold. I never knew there was such a colour!

The mini OPI bottles are a bit fiddley to use but I thought this polish applied excellently and I cannot wait to try out the other shades. I did not really expect this one to look so "gold" on the nail.

There is one other polish from the Spiderman collection which I really want and did not come in the set, "Call Me Gwenever" which is a lovely orange shade.

I'll definitely post more pics when I try out the other polishes!

Nails of the Day - Barry M "Grapefruit"

Barry M is a brand of nail polish which I don't usually tend to go for. I have heard a lot of people saying they are brilliant and they last a long time without chipping, so I am excited to put it to the test. Anyways, this colour is just so, so beautiful. The polish itself I felt had kind of a thick consistency but wasn't too difficult to apply. I applied two coats here. I suppose it does almost look like a gel polish.

This colour is so cute and girly! I wouldn't really consider it a "Barbie" pink, but it is fun and fruity and definitely one of the best pinks I have ever tried.

Nails of the Day - Chanel Le Vernis Nail Colour - Bel-Argus

Apologies in advance, this post may be a little picture heavy!

I got a lend of this beautiful polish, I had heard that this shade was just incredible. I had to have a wee go of it myself!

The polish is a shimmery, iridescent blue. Honestly, every time I look at it, it looks different. It is absolutely the most unusual polish I have ever used. You can see the minuscule glitter particles in there.

These polishes cost £18.00 - I have never spent more than about £6.00 on a nail polish. I have never used anything so expensive before. However, I have been wearing this polish for a full five days and incredibly, there are no chips despite having washed my hair and being working with my hands a lot.

I had to photograph my nails in different lighting, so you can see the polishes iridescence. However, I really believe that you need to see this one in real life to see just how unique it is! The formula was really good to work with, it had a great consistency and I am most impressed with its staying power. I think I will have to invest in a Chanel polish for myself!
